What Means Big Sur?

The previous name of the operating system was awesome but the new OS name is somehow silly. Isn’t it? macOS Big Sur sounds a little different and it doesn’t seem to be a Mac operating system. Anyhow, this OS is an advance and powerful Mac operating system. However, the Big Sur is the name of a beautiful 90-mile-long Californian coastline that’s located about 150 miles south of San Francisco and 300 miles north of Los Angeles.

To be more precise Big Sur points to a 90-mile stretch of rugged and awesomely beautiful coastline between Carmel (south) and San Simeon (north). It’s the spectacular place where the Pacific Ocean meets the Santa Lucia Mountains to create a rocky coast.

Apple has released the latest macOS Big Sur or macOS 11 at the WWDC 2020 event. And luckily, we managed to get hands-on macOS 11 / macOS Big Sur wallpaper in UHD resolution. The macOS 11 wallpaper is available in 6016 X 6016 pixels resolution, and so you can resize it for low-resolution devices. These wallpapers are available in the new Macbook Air and Macbook Pro which is based on Arm-based Apple M1 processor.
